Chocolate Milk - Action Speaks Louder Than Words – 1975

This is a glorious hunk of funk from New Orleans. Chocolate Milk took over as Allen Toussaint’s house band after The Meters moved on to other things.  Their first album, the title of this song, is full of similar funk grooves and is highly recommended. 

They went on to make seven more albums, finally disbanding in 1983. As the years went on, and musical styles changed, they did lose their funk, but so did many others.

However, we have this funky groove which has been sampled by a few hip hop artists, but this is the real thing. Sit back, relax and let your feet do the thinking.
